“Seriously? Is this how they do business here?”

I thought negotiations among nobles would involve some fancy discussions and clever tricks, but apparently, I was way off base.

“They’re not even trying to hide their intentions!”

My so-called allies were practically tripping over each other to make a deal, while I just stood there, scratching my head in disbelief.

I mean, come on, can we at least pretend to have a little bit of decorum?

The only thing being negotiated was who could shout the loudest, and it was honestly giving me a headache.

It was more like watching a bunch of kids arguing over the last cookie rather than a serious negotiation.
