Chapter 24: You Don’t Offend Me, I’ll Accuse You of Offending

“Equal treatment, one night of water at a steady level.”

It was this promise that allowed Roy to simultaneously date three girls.

Little did he know, this phrase turned into a boomerang, circling back as an excuse for the girls to compete and get jealous.

“I really have no way with you.”

Roy knew he was being unreasonable and could only agree.

However…

He glanced around, noticing pairs of eyes filled with various emotions—some excited, some surprised, some curious, and some mixed with unsavory desires.

No matter what, Roy could hold it in himself, but he didn’t want Nia’s adorable side to be seen by others, especially certain guys with dirty minds.

“Just wait a moment.”

Roy took off his coat and casually draped it over Nia’s shoulders.

The elven girl blinked, then quickly understood his intention, flashing a smile that revealed her sweet dimples.

She opened the coat, covering both of their upper bodies.

Cheers erupted from the crowd, and those with ulterior motives, hoping for some outrageous scenes, could only curse quietly as they averted their gazes.

Under the coat, things looked bright yet vague, and at a distance close enough to feel each other’s breath, the elven girl let out a light laugh.

“Should I say you’re really gentle, or say you really know how to play~”

Roy felt a bit embarrassed under her mischievous green gaze and urged, “Hurry up, or the homeroom teacher will be here soon.”

“Hehe, can’t wait, huh?”

The elven girl leaned in and kissed him, her plump body pressing against him, wrapping him tightly in an embrace.

The classroom buzzed, but no one knew the heart-pounding scene hidden under the coat, nor the incredibly sweet whispers that were even sweeter than nightingales.

Until the class bell rang.

“Everyone, it’s time to… Oh!”

Barbara entered the classroom and immediately spotted the couple tightly wrapped together in the distance, left speechless as she quickly covered her eyes.

What on earth did she just see in broad daylight?!

She must have made a mistake! There’s no way!

Barbara opened a small gap with her fingers, but noticed the black-haired boy sitting upright in his seat, aside from a slightly red face, there was nothing unusual.

Looks like she overthought it; there’s no way they’d be going that far…

Relieved, Barbara had no idea that in that brief moment, Nia, wearing Roy’s coat and looking disheveled, had already fled in a panic through the back door of the classroom.

Seeing that fleeting figure at the doorway, Roy could only smile wryly.

Hey, you forgot to return my coat…

Whether it was Charlotte or Nia, neither was someone who nitpicked. In fact, they both knew there was a need for Roy to maintain a good relationship with the tutoring teacher; they were just using it as an excuse to act cute.

In the following days, Roy maintained the facade of a model student during his nightly tutoring sessions, gradually closing the distance with Xue Nuo.

Occasionally, they would run into each other on the way, and they would proactively chat.

But Roy had forgotten about the last girl.

One day in class, several students from the Student Council, looking unfriendly and wearing their badges, barged in.

“Roy Ainbrad, due to suspected violations of discipline, please come with us to the Student Council for an investigation!”

“Um, hey, classmates, we’re in the middle of class…” Barbara softly tried to explain.

But the Student Council members ignored the meek girl and grabbed him directly. “Let’s go!”

The teachers and students in the classroom were baffled; some were worried about him, while others were enjoying the drama, but no one knew what exactly Roy had done.

They didn’t know that once they dragged Roy back to the Student Council office, the two girls who had brought him in shifted from their previous indifference to hurried bows before quickly leaving.

And there in front of Roy sat a brown-haired beauty, basking in the sunlight.

Roy was dumbfounded.

It was one thing for Nia to dash over during break, but this girl was outright abusing her power!

She had said Leanna was more mature than those two, but looking at her scheming expression, Roy knew her bad intentions were just as substantial!

“Roy, regarding your secret late-night meetings with Charlotte in the little woods and your blatant display of affection in the classroom during the day, do you have anything to say in your defense?” Leanna said, her hands folded under her chin, with a bemused tone.

Roy wanted to say something, then held back, thinking it over, but ultimately gave up.

He spread his arms like a salted fish on a chopping board, completely surrendering: “Nothing to defend, just come at me.”

Isn’t it just cuddles and kisses? If others want it, why shouldn’t I? I’m too tired, just hurry up.

His credits were hanging by a thread, and he was rushing to get back to class!

However, the brown-haired girl’s expression darkened.

“You’re so accommodating with them, but you can’t even muster the energy for me? Is equal treatment just lip service, junior?”

“Uh, no, that’s not…”

Roy lost his cool.

Can’t you come up with another tactic? Is it fun to keep targeting my weak points?!

Seeing the boy’s flustered demeanor, Leanna’s expression lightened.

“Don’t worry, junior, I just want to get a little closer for the first time in a while, no ulterior motives at all?”

Roy’s mouth twitched, forcing out a weak smile.

Yeah, right, I believe you!

“Just need you to cooperate a bit…”

Leanna got up, her slender legs striding toward him, her graceful curves subtly highlighted beneath her fitted brown dress.

Against the backdrop of the floor-to-ceiling window, she sat on the desk, a devilish smirk played on her lips.

“Touch me.”

“Uh… what?”

That weird request totally threw Roy off.

“Is this touch of yours serious or…?”

“Junior, you must be joking. Of course it’s not serious.”

Leanna clapped her hands, casually suggesting what to have for lunch: “Chest, legs, whatever’s not serious, just go for it. Be proactive, and I won’t hold you accountable for what happened with Charlotte and the others.”

It was Roy’s first time hearing such a bizarre demand, and adding her witch identity into the mix, he hesitated: “What if I reach out, and a bunch of Student Council members rush in and catch me in the act, dragging me off to face Charlotte and the others?”

If it’s Leanna, she could definitely pull something like that!

But Leanna just shook her head with a smile.

“Wrong way around, hmm?”

“If you don’t do it, I’ll scream harassment and get you dragged over to Charlotte and the others, crying that you transformed into a beast and attempted something with me.”

Roy was stunned: “Hey!”

“Unless…” Leanna grinned delightfully, “you actually make a move, then I won’t say a word.”

A foot wrapped in a high-heeled black silk shoe daintily landed on Roy’s chest.

The brown-haired girl propped her cheek on one hand, casting a teasing and playful gaze: “Is it better to be falsely accused after doing nothing, or to do everything and keep it a secret? That shouldn’t be a difficult choice, right?”
