Chapter 47
There is no proper means of transport in Akare.
Although there are carriages, the area of the Empire is comparable to that of real-world America.
Simply walking or using a carriage has its limitations.
That’s why throughout the map, there are ‘Record Points’.
These are a type of teleportation device, a feature added for user convenience.
Once activated, you can teleport to any activated Record Point from anywhere.
Of course, it is limited by region, so you cannot move to a Record Point in a different area.
For example, you cannot travel from the new area Elderheim back to the Empire.
Anyway, through this showcase, many users actively utilized these Record Points to explore the map.
They were in search of ‘Records of Enlightenment’, a content available after the Second Awakening to obtain or enhance skills.

“I found a Warrior Enlightenment spot LOL [76]
The Mage Tower was a total gold mine, damn [32]
I received enlightenment after praying 100 times [50]
Is the enlightenment option randomly chosen? [21]
Where on earth is the Warrior spot? [23]
―――
There weren’t many restrictions on how to obtain the Records of Enlightenment.
In addition to the structures, locations, and NPCs pointed out by Aurora.
You could also interact with certain objects or consume rare foods or unique potions.
There were truly various ways to acquire the Records of Enlightenment.
―――
[Title] I’ll summarize the enlightenment options for you
[Option 1] [Option 2] [Option 3]
When you gain enlightenment, three choices appear.
Out of these, Options 1 and 2 always show ‘Skill Enhancement’ and
Option 3 always shows ‘New Skill’.
Each option can be rerolled once,
And these choices change randomly every time you gain enlightenment.
After the initial acquisition of enlightenment, you can check the list of skills that have not been unlocked in the skill window.
Skill enhancement can be done up to three times,
And considering the total number of obtainable enlightenments, it seems possible to max them all eventually.

Can someone tell me the standard Mage tree?
ㄴ Chain Lightning << OP
ㄴ 1. Go to the Mage Tower
ㄴ 2. Pray for your Chain Lightning to show up
ㄴ 3. Just level up, and you can also be a ranker
ㄴ When a passive skill circle for Mages shows up, make sure to grab it.

The Records of Enlightenment.
This was a means to upgrade based on the knowledge I received from the status window.
I thought it would get boring if I just enhanced skills and acquired new ones.
So I added a random element to keep the dopamine flowing.
[Judgment Hammer Lv.1] [Radiant Light Lv.1] [NEW! Holy Shield]
"..."
I stared blankly at the options that appeared before me.
I had rerolled, yet the options didn’t change.
To be exact, it was a very low probability choice that I had just rolled again.
"Sigh..."
Global service. Second-half roadmap showcase, and so on...
After handling a heavy workload, I had been playing Akare nonstop.
As a result, I became the Inquisitor after my Second Awakening and obtained my monumental first enlightenment,
Only to be dealt a historic card that wounded my heart.
"It’s okay. It’s just the first one..."
The Priest-based class highly values enhancing the core skills of healing and blessing.
Given the traits of being an Inquisitor, I needed offensive skills rather than utility skills used in party play.
'I won’t give up.'
The reason I became an Inquisitor, bypassing the regular Priest and Paladin routes,
Was to reform all the Cults that worship the Director.
Of course, my resolve nearly faltered during the Second Awakening cutscene.
But still, I haven’t given up. I won’t from now on either.
"Still, the Holy Shield should be better."
The weapon of an Inquisitor is a hammer.
So the Judgment Hammer could only be used to slightly upgrade the weapon.
Radiant Light was simply lackluster.
It has a certain chance to inflict blindness on enemies, but it didn't mean much.
The duration of blindness was short, and the damage was mediocre.
Thus, it was better to acquire the Holy Shield.
"I wonder what else could be revealed."
From the omniscient Director's perspective, I knew all the ways to obtain the Records of Enlightenment.
But right now, I was merely the player 'Pera', so I couldn't recklessly use the knowledge of my second persona.
I had gained the nickname 'Rice-Crunching Saint' after using it once quite notably, you know?
I was just an ordinary Inquisitor Pera.
I am not Aurora, the Director of Akare.
'But how did they figure out the 100 prayers?'
Finding out about the 100 prayers meant someone had actually done it.
This was the last thing I expected to be revealed about the Records of Enlightenment.
'No way...'
I used the Creator's authority to check the job of the first person who performed 100 prayers.
Cult. Seeing those three letters made my head spin, and I quickly shut my eyes.
"Next up is the Goddess Statue viewing."
Not the Goddess Statue created in the image of the goddess, one of the objects of ruin.
But rather, the goddess that appears in the newly established doctrine of the Saint, the one that exists in everyone's heart.
It’s said to be a Goddess Statue made in her likeness.
Honestly, I don't see much of a difference.
Maybe it just looks similar.
Anyway, after moving to the church and witnessing the new Goddess Statue, a system message popped up.
[You have discovered the Record of Enlightenment.]
[Radiant Light Lv.1] [Judgment Hammer Lv.1] [NEW! Purification]
'Another one?'
Once again, Radiant Light and Judgment Hammer came out.
Moreover, not even an offensive prayer showed up.
What’s going on? Is the probability just off?
I currently have a total of seven skills.
Basic skills: Blessing and Heal.
Passive skill: Faith.
First Awakening skills: Judgment Hammer and Radiant Light.
Second Awakening skills: Heretic Designation and Light’s Order.
The best are Blessing and Heal,
Followed by Heretic Judgment and Light’s Order.
The worst are the First Awakening skills.
Since there's no way to enhance the Priest’s passive skills, they’re excluded.
'Purification is a solid skill, though.'
It’s not the offensive skill I was hoping for,
But it feels a bit too valuable to discard.
'Let’s go ahead and reroll first.'
[Holy Shield Lv.1]
"Oh."
Right, I had Holy Shield too.
That’s fine. I still have one more chance left.
I rerolled the second option.
[Radiant Light Lv.1]
"…."
What the heck? Is this even possible?
I’m not asking for something huge.
Since things are ruined anyway, let’s try with Purification as well.
[NEW! High Blessing]
High Blessing, an upgraded version of Blessing (cannot be used on oneself), appeared.
What the heck?!

[Sweet's broadcast has started. - Akashic Records 6 hours ago]
[Sweet's broadcast title: Chain Lightning Level 3 Owner]
Currently, there were five Records of Enlightenment obtainable in the Mage Tower.
That meant five chances available,
And Sweet achieved the remarkable feat of obtaining Chain Lightning Level 3 against all odds.
If someone who had suffered a historic unfairness had seen this, they would have fumed with rage.
But anyway, Chain Lightning is an incredibly versatile skill.
It induces three states: Shock, Restraint, and Stun.
Here, Shock and Restraint trigger upon hit.
While Stun activates at a low rate, just Shock and Restraint are already enough for crowd control.
Moreover, the damage potential was enormous, so it could be considered all-purpose.
"Wow. Guys, you can even control it however I want?"
After his Second Awakening, Sweet could feel and handle 'Mana'.
This allowed for a bit more precise control when using skills,
But there was no spell that allowed for complete free-range directional changes like Chain Lightning.
―――
Double casting, what about it?
Is this what being a Mage means?
Let’s go check out the hunting grounds.
―――
While observing the chat reactions, Sweet attempted a double casting.
“Phew… This mana consumption is insane.”
Within less than ten seconds, all the mana was depleted, causing the spell to end.
"Let’s go check the hunting grounds? Got it."
Sweet opened the mini-map and moved to the Record Point located in Aryong's Canyon.
Wyverns and Drakes. Monsters that are quite tricky unless hunting in a party.
But that’s only the case for those who haven’t undergone a Second Awakening,
And Sweet wasn’t just any ordinary Second Awakening Mage; he had Chain Lightning Level 3.
"Shall I try it out on that Drake and Wyvern up ahead?"
Wyverns were agile, while Drakes were tough.
Even a Mage who had completed their Second Awakening would need to run through a skill cycle to take them down.
"Wail, Chain Lightning!"
...It was a pretty cringe-worthy incantation due to losing a bet with the viewers, but
The results were anything but cringe-worthy.
"One hit, nice."
The chains of lightning pierced through the heart of the wyvern,
And shattered the scales of the drake, which were harder than steel.
It truly was a flawless kill.
Of course, the mana consumed was exorbitant,
So he had to take mana potions regularly.
But for that level of risk, it was a very decent return.
"Any Second Awakening hunters watching the stream?"
―――
Yup, that’s me!
I'm creating a hunter now!
Waiting for Second Awakening Hunter (Level 10)
Why a hunter?
―――
Among the Second Awakening skills for hunters, there’s a skill called 'Prey Detection'.
It marks the locations of surrounding monsters, a sort of buff.
This buff applies to the entire party, making hunting convenient.
Especially in hunting grounds like Aryong's Canyon, where wyverns soar and drakes hide between rocks,
Having a Second Awakening Hunter makes all the difference.
"Oh, really? Is there seriously no Second Awakening Hunter in our room?"
"Sweet, your Second Awakening hunter has arrived."
While Sweet complained, a viewer who was a Second Awakening hunter approached.
"I knew you would come."
"Yep. I’ll cast Prey Detection now, right?"
"Spot on! Perfect. Let’s party up."
The hunter viewer accepted the party invitation sent by Sweet and immediately used Prey Detection.
"Wow. So this is what it looks like. It feels like I'm using some kind of ESP hack."
The locations of nearby monsters were marked with red dots.
"Hey? They’re all clustered in one area."
There were red dots concentrated in a particular region.
Since sometimes monsters form packs,
Sweet didn’t mind it too much and focused, holding a mana potion in one hand.
"Wail, Chain Lightning!"
He chanted the spell, though there was a slight difference from before.
The number of magic circles for Chain Lightning doubled,
And as a result, a total of 14 chains of lightning stretched out in all directions.
Based on Chain Lightning Level 3, each magic circle sent out 7 chains of lightning,
And since he could take down a monster in Aryong's Canyon with just one,
Fourteen chains meant he could kill 14 monsters.
"Wow."
The hunter viewer watching couldn’t help but gasp.
They watched the red dots vanish in real-time,
And knowing perfectly well what that meant, they couldn’t help but be impressed.
"Ugh... This is a bit tough."
To prepare for the mana depletion that could happen during double casting,
Sweet tried to consume a mana potion during the spellcasting, but it wasn’t enough.
"I missed one."
"Did you catch that? You have good eyes."
In reality, Sweet's Chain Lightning failed to penetrate the scales of the furthest drake.
Having consumed a mana potion mid-casting broke his concentration, and the power diminished over distance.
"With a Cult and Priest buff, we’ll be hunting the Emperor, huh?"
"Oh? That’s right!"
The 'Blessing' from the Priest and the Cult could be stacked.
"So, if I just ask Suzuka to come over for a bit..."
Then, where on earth would they find the last Priest?
As Sweet pondered, a woman who seemed to be a Priest approached him and the hunter.
“Did you just take down the monsters I gathered over there?"
With black hair and red eyes.
And a strangely familiar face.
She held a hammer smeared in blood and looked incredibly furious.
"Oh, um..."
Before he could utter an apology.
Sweet suddenly recalled her identity.
"…The Rice-Crunching Saint?!"
Shiver –
As he involuntarily blurted out that title, the Rice-Crunching Saint,
No, Pera's hand began to tremble.
