Chapter 351
Chapter 57: Just Playing with You
“What do you think we should do?” Roy said helplessly.
As soon as he finished speaking, Leanna suddenly stopped her actions, turned back with a smile, full of charm.
“Just spend the afternoon with me, and I’ll forgive you.”
Looking at her tear-free face, her eyes not even slightly red, Roy was stunned for a full two seconds before shouting, “I refuse!”
He couldn’t believe he would fall for a bad woman’s tears! Roy was fuming inside.
However, Leanna kept pressing the topic, a hint of sorrow in her voice, “Why?”
“Because…”
Before Roy could finish, Leanna leaned in as if she was ready, pressing on him, “Just one afternoon! You’ll be back by night, and it won’t take up your time with them? Besides, just this once, after that, as you wish, I won’t bother you again.”
“If you can’t even do this once, then I’m really going to be sad,” Leanna said, sulking as she lowered her head, making herself look very upset.
Roy certainly wasn’t going to buy her act anymore.
But, if it really was the last time, it might be worth considering…
Yet, did this bad woman truly just want to have fun? For a last hurrah, she surely wasn’t planning to do something, right?
Roy hadn’t forgotten about almost being charmed before.
Seeing the young boy pondering for a moment, his expression fluctuating back and forth, just as he was about to make a decision, Leanna suddenly raised a finger and blocked his lips.
In the moment his pupils quivered, Leanna leaned in close to his ear and whispered with a soft smile, “Just think of it as playing with me, okay?”
Leanna’s tone was calm, and Roy couldn’t see her expression, but a subtle tremor that didn’t seem like hers came from her lips.
After a moment of silence, Roy finally nodded.
“Don’t get the wrong idea, just like you said, it’s just playing with you.”
“Mm, that’s enough.”
Leanna pulled back, her lips not curving up but her eyes showing a hint of hazy surprise.
Roy found it hard to meet that gaze.
That afternoon, a carriage adorned with a blue magic book slowly left the academy gate.
It didn’t stop until it turned into a secluded little path in the city.
Watching the cloaked boy and girl step down from the carriage, the middle-aged man inside, wearing a blue robe, reluctantly squeezed out a fake smile, “Have fun.”
The girl looked up, giving a faint smile that revealed a beautifully curved face even half-hidden, “Thank you, Lord Randy, for your help.”
“I’ll keep your little hobby a secret from your lady.”
“Thanks.”
The man’s face turned so stiff he looked like a frog caught by a snake, then shook his head and awkwardly retreated into the carriage, leaving hurriedly.
Roy couldn’t help but stare in disbelief.
It wasn’t even the weekend, and he had been curious how Leanna planned to sneak out of the academy.
Due to the recent All Things Wither attack, the academy city had ramped up security, with multiple checks whenever entering or exiting.
Who would have thought she had bribed a great magician who was visiting the academy for academic exchange to sneak out in his carriage!
It’s known that magicians and nobles are hard to move with money.
“I’m really curious how you managed to bribe that guy.”
“Oh, nothing much. He tried to get a little too handsy with me during the exchange—ah, are you jealous?”
Roy shot her a cold stare.
“Don’t worry, he didn’t get anywhere. Instead, I found evidence of him cheating with his sister-in-law, and thereafter, he became a nice uncle.” Leanna said with great interest, her tone as light as someone discussing an adorable pet.
Leanna was certainly not a good person, rather a witch who played both sides, so Roy had never worried about her safety from the start.
“But isn’t it bad for the Student Council President to skip school? What if someone sees and it tarnishes our reputation?” Roy frowned as he looked at the crowd.
There were not a few people in the crowd that were clearly skipping.
Leanna shrugged nonchalantly, “I wasn’t really a good kid to begin with.”
“Besides, there are my people in the academy; they’ll just turn a blind eye to this.”
Well, considering Leanna had to maintain her identity as the Serpent-Eyed Witch, she must have sneaked out a lot in the past, no wonder she was so smooth at skipping school.
Roy, who had never skipped school in two lifetimes, could only shake his head helplessly. He even properly requested leave when he was healing before.
“Eh, let’s wrap up the boring talk here.”
Leanna reached to take off her robe, revealing her new clothes.
Like a long-hidden treasure coming to light.
Unlike her usual school uniform, today Leanna wore a creamy white shirt with a fitted brown jacket that highlighted her generous and elegant curves, complemented by a fitted brown skirt, under which delicate black stockings subtly peeked out, and she sported short heeled boots that wrapped around her delicate feet.
Her smooth long hair framed a serene and graceful face, with an aura belonging to the academy’s top student. Yet, beneath her long, thick lashes, her dark purple eyes sparkled with an elusive brilliance, making her captivating.
“Shouldn’t boys say something at a time like this?”
Returning to his senses, Roy averted his gaze and replied lightly, “Seems fine.”
Leanna chuckled softly, not calling out Roy’s bravado, just pretended to ponder, “Sigh, maybe I should dress more colorful next time?”
Her words inadvertently painted some strange pictures in Roy’s mind. Leanna’s outfit could be considered modest, only occasionally revealing a hint of mature femininity; if she dared to show a little more, like with a spaghetti strap dress, it would be too…
“Ah, are you imagining me in a scandalous outfit?”
“No!”
Roy’s denial only made Leanna chuckle again.
Roy also took off his outer robe, revealing casual attire.
A tailored black jacket, a simple white shirt, and smooth blue trousers, not very complicated.
However, with his well-defined physique and handsome face, along with his rare, beautiful black hair and eyes that resemble the night sky, it added a mysterious aura rarely seen among the Veszyra people.
Leanna’s eyes lit up, “Not bad, looks like my junior dressed up for me.”
“You’re thinking too much, I just randomly picked something.”
“Oh, no wonder.”
Under Roy’s astonished gaze, Leanna suddenly reached out and leaned toward his neck.
For a moment, Roy thought she was about to settle the score for their previous tussle.
But Leanna simply adjusted his collar for him.
Her smooth brown locks brushed against him, accompanied by a hint of bluebell fragrance wafting by, making Roy a bit timid—he had never felt this stiff, even when entangled with dragon monsters or decaying vines.
Yet, he clearly had a little maid to help him get ready before leaving; his collar shouldn’t be messy.
After a moment, the girl raised her eyes, giving him a satisfied smile, “Now it’s perfect.”
“…Thanks.”
“You’re welcome~”
Leanna turned away leisurely, but her eyes darkened slightly.
She had sensed it.
That was the scent of irises.
This guy had been cozying up with that little maid all afternoon.
But it didn’t matter; today, she had to make Roy belong to her.
