Chapter 334

Chapter 40: The Student Council President Comes to Visit (×)

The dragon race that once dominated the skies had such overwhelming pressure that it could make all mundane beings submit.

To withstand the might of a dragon, one either needed a bloodline not belonging to the dragon clan, like Charlotte and her friends, or possess courage far beyond the ordinary.

Unfortunately, this young man from the South Sea faction had neither.

In front of the black-haired boy, he felt like an ant being stared at by some colossal creature. Just a glance left him pale and frozen on the spot.

“Kuran! Show him what you’ve got!”

“Let him know your strength!”

The surrounding members of the South Sea faction cheered on, but Kuran himself was trembling, barely daring to breathe.

Roy raised an eyebrow: “Senior, they’re cheering for you. Don’t let their kindness go to waste.”

“I-I can’t help it…!”

Kuran stuttered, mustering all his courage to try and put on a brave front.

However, Roy took another step forward.

Just that one step, without even using his dragon pressure, Kuran was momentarily lost in a trance, seeing an ancient beast charging toward him from the skies. He panicked, let out a shriek, and his legs gave out, dropping him to the ground.

No one knew what Roy did.

From their perspective, all Roy had done was take a step forward, yet he scared Kuran half to death.

The members of the South Sea faction looked grim, even casting disdainful glances at their leader, while members of the Lionheart faction pointed and laughed at Kuran, drawing a chorus of gasps from onlookers.

At that moment, Kuran finally broke free from the pressure, his face going from green to red, and got back up, glaring with humiliation and rage.

“Enough! If you want to die, I’ll make it happen!”

Though some looked down on Kuran’s disgraceful display, the South Sea faction members still exuded extraordinary waves of presence, drawing their weapons.

Roy cast a quick glance at them, but calmly rolled up his sleeves.

Six Sequence 8, using the False King would be a bit of a stretch.

But since they dared to offend Charlotte, they deserved to suffer a bit, right?

Of course, regardless of the outcome, the South Sea faction would definitely use this as an excuse to stir up trouble.

But the South Sea faction and the Lionheart faction would clash eventually; he was just speeding up the process.

Just as the members of both factions were about to clash fiercely, Roy suddenly caught sight of a dark shadow darting through the crowd.

Like a little black snake.

In a split-second decision, Roy halted the extraordinary aura he was releasing and reached out to stop Eik and the others.

“Wait, don’t make a move.”

Eik and the others widened their eyes, unable to understand why he would back down at such a moment.

And Kuran sneered, revealing a fierce look: “Now you’re scared?”

“It’s too late! I’ll teach you how to respect your seniors right now…”

“Oh? Seems like you’re discussing something interesting?”

Her dignified and gentle tone echoed like a cold autumn wind, making Kuran and the others change their expressions immediately, losing all their earlier bravado.

Everyone turned to see a brown-haired girl with purple eyes leisurely walking forward, surrounded by members of the student council in black uniforms.

With each step of her high heels, the black long skirt swayed slightly. Her graceful figure appeared delicate yet emitted a chilling aura, making nearly everyone lower their gaze subconsciously, unwilling to meet her eyes.

Only Roy did not shy away from her gaze.

And only when her gaze fell on Roy did Leanna’s smile momentarily become meaningful.

“Kuran Harkes, right? Faction disputes are not disallowed from using force, but private fights are banned within the academy. You should formally apply for a duel.” Leanna glanced at the chaos of the stalls: “As for affecting other factions’ stall operations, that’s a serious violation and disrupts the normal order of faction disputes.”

Leanna smiled at Kuran: “So, do you have anything to explain?”

Kuran’s face turned ashen, disbelief written all over him.

Faction fights outside the academy could be chaotic, but once inside, no faction dared to disrespect the student council.

Kuran couldn’t comprehend how, despite avoiding the student council’s patrol time, they still got caught. And by the student council president, no less!

“N-no, this is all a misunderstanding! Who saw us smashing their stalls?!”

Leanna tilted her head deliberately: “Hmm? Did I say you smashed the Lionheart’s stalls?”

Kuran was momentarily speechless.

Then Leanna beamed again and softly said, “Just kidding; I could guess that even without being told.”

“Anyway, my little guy saw everything.” The girl extended her delicate wrist, and a small black snake emerged from her palm.

“Alright, let’s go with us?”

“…”

The members of the South Sea faction twisted their faces, clearly bursting with pent-up anger and vile words, but they dared not unleash it in front of the student council president.

Only after they were all humiliatingly handcuffed did Kuran suddenly come to a realization.

“Wait, why not bring the Lionheart faction members along?!”

Leanna looked puzzled: “They did nothing wrong, did they?”

“Nonsense! According to the rules…”

“According to school rules, in faction disputes, any involved in a private fight must have both sides taken away, regardless of who instigated it.” Leanna replied, glancing at Roy in praise: “But, they clearly showed restraint and had no intention of fighting.”

Everyone suddenly remembered why Roy had pulled back then. The Lionheart members sighed in relief, grateful they had escaped unscathed.

Though being taken by the student council meant just being confined, nobles cared deeply about their image. Such embarrassing events, if spread, would make even their allies view them as a joke.

Kuran glared at Leanna but feared she’d make things difficult for him during confinement. He didn’t dare offend her and turned his rage toward Roy instead.

“You think you can scheme against me! When I get out, I’ll make sure you…”

“To threaten a junior in front of me, Kuran, you’re really something. You don’t take me, the student council president, seriously at all.”

Under Leanna’s warm gaze, Kuran had no choice but to swallow his pride, turning obedient.

With the laughter of onlookers ringing in their ears, the South Sea faction members were led away by the student council.

Leading the Lionheart faction members, Eik let out a sigh of relief, gathering around Roy.

“Thank you, Roy, for stepping in this time!”

“It’s nothing; just lending a hand.” Roy waved it off.

In the kingdom, it felt strange to be called “Lord” by classmates.

Eik said, “No, if it weren’t for you, Roy, not to mention whether we could have driven the South Sea faction back, we would have undoubtedly been taken by the student council.”

At that moment, a light laugh floated like a wraith: “Good thing, Junior Roy is such a good kid who follows the school rules.”

Looking at the brown-haired girl who had appeared seemingly out of nowhere, Eik and the others felt embarrassed and promptly closed their mouths. But Roy’s expression turned unusual.

Roy could say with 100% certainty that the little snake just now was Leanna’s deliberate reminder to him.
