Chapter 6: Making the Master Happier

The first time Nia saw the look Alice gave Roy, she knew that feeling was far from just a simple master-servant relationship.

Later, she heard that Alice had a pretty unfortunate childhood, didn’t really understand many social norms, and didn’t even know what love was.

As Alice’s close friend, instead of enlightening her, Nia ended up falling for Roy first, which made her feel guilty deep down.

Especially after noticing how Alice always deliberately avoided them whenever she was alone with Roy, Nia’s guilt became even harder to bear.

No matter how she looked at it, she felt like that awful person who stole the heroine’s boyfriend!

She couldn’t exactly make up for it, but Nia really wanted to do something for Alice.

Anyway, Roy definitely wouldn’t mind, and she didn’t care if Alice got a bit closer to him. Besides, given that little one’s level of cluelessness, even with her pushing things along, who knew how far they’d actually get.

The only obstacle in her way was Charlotte.

“What’s the matter, are you scared?”

Nia sat up cross-legged and teased with a grin, “After all, that kid is cute and well-behaved; if she joins in, someone will end up being third wheel.”

Charlotte’s eyes turned icy, and she felt a fire igniting in her chest.

But as angry as she was, Charlotte wasn’t stupid.

She took a deep breath and, instead of getting flustered, smiled, “What’s in it for you to provoke me?”

Nia was secretly impressed.

Leaning against the headboard, Charlotte crossed her elegant legs and spoke calmly, “First, you want to set them up, then you provoke me. Nia Molly, do you really think such petty tricks can fool me?”

Nia’s heart sank.

Damn, this princess may be flat-chested, but her mind is sharp! Did she see through it that quickly?!

But the next second, Nia couldn’t keep up with the conversation.

Charlotte’s face broke into an extremely confident smile, as if she had seen through everything: “You really want to pull Alice into your plans, don’t you?”

“…….Huh?”

“Heh, you play your part well. You just want to team up with Alice to deal with me, right? After all, Alice is spoiled by Roy like a little sister. Having her speak up for you in front of Roy would be quite effective, even I’d have a hard time against that.”

Charlotte shrugged, finding it quite amusing: “But you’re so obvious about it. Do you really think I can’t see through this cliché romance novel plot?”

Nia was left speechless for a moment.

No, sis, maybe you should read fewer romance novels from now on?! You’re acting like you’re in a court love drama?!

Charlotte didn’t notice the incredulous look on the elf girl’s face and continued, “Alice is a smart kid; she knows good from bad. Plus, I’m here. Your little scheme was destined to fail from the start!”

Nia held back for a while but finally just let out one word.

“Six.”

Not long after, Alice came in, hugging some blankets and pillows, setting up the bedding for the two.

By the way, lazy Nia didn’t lift a finger. On the other hand, Charlotte tried to help, but being from a noble background, she was used to being served and only made things worse, so after Nia laughed at her, she awkwardly stepped aside.

Alice sat on the makeshift bedding, her legs crossed in a duck-like posture, looking at the two girls on the bed with admiration. She said earnestly, “About tomorrow’s date, I’d like some guidance from both of you.”

To be honest, Alice didn’t really understand what a date was; she was always eager to learn new things.

Charlotte and Nia were both women whom the master adored and had gone on many dates with him. Every time he came back with them, he’d secretly be grinning like a fool, clearly very satisfied.

So asking them for advice could only be a good call!

“Hey, why are we being so formal? It’s not like we’re strangers or anything.”

“Guidance isn’t necessary, but some experience references wouldn’t hurt.”

The two girls exchanged polite remarks.

But Alice shook her head.

She revealed her clear, sincere eyes and said, “No, you both are the objects of the master’s affection. I believe only you two know how to give him a perfect date. Alice’s experience is lacking, so please guide me more!”

This genuinely struck a chord with both girls, causing their mouths to involuntarily lift into smiles, swelling their confidence.

As the objects of Roy’s affections, it was necessary to guide the lost little lamb well.

“Hey, I guess I can call myself a love expert, so I can teach you a trick or two to win Roy over without issue.”

“Fine, if you want to satisfy Roy, you have to learn from me well. After all, nobody understands Roy better than I do.”

Nia, who succeeded in kissing after three attempts using healing as an excuse, and Charlotte, who cried drunkenly in confusion over Roy’s feelings, both started to act high and mighty.

But Alice, oblivious to the behind-the-scenes details, only felt that these two were incredibly strong; one was high and mighty, the other was wise beyond comprehension, filling her with admiration.

Alice looked at them with sparkling eyes.

“So, what do you want to ask?” Charlotte asked.

“Everything.”

“Uhm, I think Charlotte meant what specifically do you want to ask?” Nia clarified from the side.

“Everything!” Alice replied as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

“What to wear, what hairstyle to do, where to go; do you really have no clue?” Charlotte frowned.

Only then did she notice that Alice was actually taking notes in a little notebook!

Looking at those clear, innocent, and utterly clueless eyes, both Charlotte and Nia felt a bit heavier in their hearts, with a new sense of pressure.

To be frank, considering Alice’s shallow experience in love, these two would more than suffice as her teachers.

“Fine, let’s start with clothes.” Nia snapped her fingers and perked up.

“Let me see what clothes you have.”

Nia jumped off the bed, excitedly opening the wardrobe, only to be stunned on the spot.

Putting aside spare clothes, Alice only had her school uniform and maid outfit. If she had to mention anything else, it would be a plain white nightgown.

She never imagined a girl’s wardrobe could be so sparse; if she didn’t know the truth, she’d suspect Alice was being abused.

Beside her, Charlotte’s expression turned complex: “You don’t have any casual clothes?”

“A school uniform and maid outfit are perfectly fine, right?” Alice questioned back, puzzled.

Hearing this, Nia nearly fell over.

“Here’s the thing: guys like girls to look cute. The cuter you dress, the happier Roy will be.”

“Let’s not even mention anything else; do you think this nightgown will please Roy?” Nia pulled out the nightgown and asked seriously.

To put it nicely, it’s plain; to put it bluntly, it’s dull! This isn’t a nightgown, it’s just a piece of fabric draped over!

However, Alice earnestly responded, “But the master says I look cute in this.”

Nia glanced between the girl and the nightgown, imagining how Alice would look in it.

Whoa, not to mention, Alice had such a pure and innocent aura; just draping on that plain white nightgown, she had a sort of understated elegance…

At that moment, Charlotte couldn’t hold back anymore.

“No, no, no!”

“This might not be ugly, but don’t you want to wear something even better?”

“If this counts as cute, wouldn’t you want to dress up even cuter, making Roy even happier and more excited, keeping his eyes on you all the time?!”

Alice was momentarily stunned at those words, a faint ripple passing through her eyes.

Clearly, it was the same school uniform, yet Charlotte wore a majestic cloak, while Nia tied her school jacket around her waist, looking youthful and vibrant.

She began to understand what they meant.

After a moment’s hesitation, Alice murmured, “Alice wants to make the master happier.”

Charlotte and Nia exchanged a glance, revealing a motherly sense of satisfaction.

This kid finally got it.
