Chapter 280

Chapter 133: My Choice Is, Her!

Charlotte was taken aback, unable to comprehend why the other party was still so stubborn.

But no matter what, she couldn’t allow Roy to stay around that green tea charmer any longer.

Come on, they were already getting cozy! If she let Roy stay here a few more days, who knows what else she might do?!

“Let go of me!”

“No way!”

Charlotte’s eyebrows furrowed, and she erupted with a fierce aura, flames bursting forth from her palm.

“You think you can stop me?”

But the next second, a violent gust of wind pushed the terrifying flames back.

The elven girl, wrapped in a swirl of verdant wind, sneered in disdain.

“What if I insist on stopping you?”

“Try it, I dare you!”

“I will try then!”

In an instant, the flames surged like a roaring lion king, while the hurricane spread its wings like a swift hawk. The intense heat and wind blades caused the furnishings in the room to crumble and shatter one by one.

Despite being only Sequence 7, both were extraordinary beings of golden bloodline and prodigies mastering the source power of their lineage. The clash of their furious powers was dangerously close to the terrifying atmosphere of Sequence 6, making the entire embassy tremble faintly!

The one trembling even more than the embassy was the blonde maid nearby.

To be honest, Alice hardly understood a word during their heated exchange, but she realized that there was no way they could coexist peacefully!

In fact, she had been trying to interject and stop the argument since she entered the room, but was ignored by the two…

Seeing her helplessness, the little maid turned around and ran to the door for help.

“Master, master, it’s bad!”

Roy’s face turned nearly as black as a storm cloud.

Not to mention the terrifying aura that rivaled a cultist’s, he could even see the entire embassy shaking.

Where are the guards? The servants? Can someone help out?!

However, as Roy scanned the surroundings, he realized he had overthought it.

The princess’s guards and Miss Nightingale’s servants were all huddled outside the room, not daring to step inside.

Logic would dictate they should defend the two girls who bore the nation’s and race’s future with their lives.

But the problem was, the one on the other side was also a heavyweight!

Not to mention whether they could confront a golden Sequence 7 with their Sequence 89 group, even if they could win, would they dare to fight?

Even brushing against a single hair of the opponent would be a burden they couldn’t bear!

If anyone had to be responsible, it should be the instigator who started this conflict!

Thus, the knight guards and elven servants simultaneously turned their gazes toward the black-haired boy.

Their meaning was clear.

You caused this mess, you sort it out!

Roy twitched his mouth, almost passing out from rage.

What good are you?!

But he didn’t have time to hesitate anymore.

The extraordinary fluctuations in the room surged violently again, teetering on the brink of explosion.

Roy gritted his teeth and dashed into that hellish battleground.

He looked as noble as a lone warrior amidst a thousand troops.

Seeing the two girls in the room about to unleash their hostility toward each other, potentially causing a catastrophic diplomatic incident or even a world war, Roy instinctively shouted.

“What are you doing?!”

The room fell into an eerie silence.

But surprisingly, neither of them got angry.

On the contrary, the hand that had been gripping Charlotte’s wrist turned into a gentle hold, and she reciprocated in kind.

“What’s this? We’re just chatting.”

“That’s right, Charlotte and I hit it off right away, we’re getting along just fine!”

Both wore polite smiles, like a pair of delighted sisters—

If it weren’t for Charlotte’s visibly tense veins, Nia’s expression devoid of joy, and the chaos in the room with broken furniture and cracked walls looking like a disaster zone, even the ceiling threatening to collapse.

But at least for that moment, they had stopped.

Charlotte, who was usually arrogant and hot-tempered, had developed a psychological shadow since that drunken night of arguing that made Roy fall.

Furthermore, if there was any blame, it should be on the little green tea charmer, how could she blame her own knight?

As for Nia, she was acutely aware that she was the latecomer; if things escalated, it would be hard for her to gain the upper hand.

Though each had their reasons, an odd consensus emerged.

No matter how much they fought, they couldn’t make things too ugly in front of Roy.

No man likes a girl who doesn’t know how to behave!

So when the two girls turned to look at Roy with bright smiles, he was so frightened he didn’t dare to breathe.

Just a moment ago they were at each other’s throats; how come they’re holding hands now?

Uh-oh, does this mean they’re about to team up and beat up the scumbag?!

“As long as you’re enjoying your chat.”

“However, it’s getting late. Let’s call it a day. I should head back to rest.”

Roy said, turning to make a hasty exit.

But then Charlotte’s restless inquiry echoed from behind.

“Perfect timing, let’s take my carriage back together.”

“Haha, no need to worry, Roy is just going to continue staying with us.”

“Absolutely unnecessary. The healing is done; my knight doesn’t need outside help.”

“Why be polite? Roy is no outsider to me. Besides, he’s been quite happy staying here these past few days.”

“Happy? Hmph, no matter how much we talk, it’s meaningless. Why not let the person in question answer?”

Hearing the two exchange words laced with tension, Roy realized these two weren’t truly done with each other—they simply decided against physical confrontations and would let him be the judge!

He had to make a quick escape before things got heated again!

However, just as Roy stepped forward, the two girls blocked his path from either side.

“Come back with me…”

“Or stay here…”

“Roy, how do you choose?” ×2

Roy nearly fainted.

On one side was the future Lionheart Queen, on the other was the future Elven Leader, one was his sworn monarch, the other was his crush.

More importantly, they’d both developed feelings for him.

No matter which one he chose, the other side would be heartbroken.

The one left behind wouldn’t just let it go easily.

How the heck is he supposed to choose?!

The red-haired princess narrowed her brows, angered yet nervously clutching her hair.

The green-haired elf smiled brightly, but her emerald eyes glimmered with unshed tears.

Yet facing the two girls’ inquiries, the black-haired boy gazed over their heads, looking out the door.

He had finally found an answer, carving a new path beyond the thorny ones!

“My choice is, her.”

Roy quickly maneuvered past the two and rushed to stand beside the golden figure, gripping Alice’s delicate white hand as if holding onto a lifeline.

The little maid blinked, somewhat taken aback.

“I’ve mostly recovered, so there’s no need to stay for further healing nor trouble Charlotte. Therefore, I’ll be going home with Alice.” Roy smiled as he spoke, under the astonished gazes of Charlotte and Nia.

The reason was so sound that neither could contradict it.

That night, they could only watch, dumbfounded, as the black-haired boy and the blonde maid walked hand in hand down the path home.
