Chapter 267
Chapter 120: Healing
“Well then, let’s pretend I never said anything.”
“For you, she underwent the Trial and got seriously injured. You say you want to be with him, but you can’t even manage this little thing. Looks like your feelings for him are pretty shallow.”
Without even looking, Janthea knew how wobbly her silly daughter was.
“Th-this and that are two different things…”
Janthea calmly countered, “It’s exactly the same thing. Roy saved you, and now it’s your turn to save Roy. What’s wrong with that?”
Nia took a long pause, unable to hold back her retort: “It’s totally different, hey!”
“Physical contact and all, that’s not even…”
Halfway through her sentence, Nia lowered her head, even the tips of her delicate ears drooping slightly, her heart racing to the max.
Indeed, the way Janthea suggested saving Roy involved Nia, who bore the lifeblood of the Western Wind, making physical contact with Roy to transfer her life energy.
Nia might blab all day, and she understood the theory well enough, but her deep-rooted beliefs about love were typical of elves—no further actions with the opposite sex before confirming a relationship.
Conversely, if she took things further with Roy at this moment, wouldn’t that essentially confirm that kind of relationship?!
What kind of beaver is this?
At least wait until he wakes up and agrees, right?!
Seeing Nia stammering, Janthea became somewhat perplexed: “What’s so terrifying about it?”
“You make it sound easy! Were you super forward back in the day, Mom?!”
Nia spat out the question casually, only to be taken aback when Janthea, after a moment of silence, nodded as if it were the most natural thing in the world: “Pretty much.”
In Nia’s mind, her mother had always been a conservative and somewhat outdated elven woman.
Hearing such bold words now left Nia’s innocent heart shaken, her pupils quivering uncontrollably.
Meanwhile, Janthea was even more baffled.
C’mon, physical contact? Just holding hands. For a girl like Nia, it shouldn’t be a big deal, right?
Could it be her feelings for Roy weren’t at that level yet?
Considering this, Janthea switched tactics.
“This is an opportunity.”
“An opportunity?”
“When someone is injured, their heart is at its most vulnerable. Being there for them can close the distance between you, and it’s a chance to get much closer.”
“Mom, you’re at it again…”
Nia frowned, ready to instinctively retort, but she saw Janthea looking at her earnestly.
“Don’t you like him?”
Nia opened her mouth, but this time the usually eloquent girl couldn’t spit out a single word.
Even if it were a lie, she didn’t want to deny her feelings that had already blossomed inside her heart.
“Maybe you have your thoughts, but let me remind you, you’re not the only one eyeing Roy. If you miss this chance, there might not be another like it.”
This remark completely set off alarms in Nia’s mind.
She recalled the pure, ethereal blonde maid and that prideful, elegant red-haired princess, and a massive sense of crisis surged within her.
Although Nia was confident she could hold her own against them in looks, Roy’s history with them far exceeded his time with her.
Nia knew very well that she wasn’t the only one for Roy, and there were certainly other girls interested in him.
Time was not in her favor; if she hesitated now, who knew if there would be another chance?!
On the flip side, only by taking advantage of this healing opportunity could she catch up and even surpass others’ progress!
Hesitation leads to defeat! This was no time for shyness!
Taking a deep breath, Nia finally made up her mind.
What surprised her was her mother.
“You don’t object?” Nia asked cautiously.
She could certainly tell Janthea was intentionally helping her.
Ever since Nia became sensible, her mom had been a hard no on everything, practically winding her up. To see her encourage her like this was a first.
Janthea sighed slightly: “Would it matter if I opposed?”
“Besides, after so long of being strict, a little support now and then can’t be bad.”
“Thank you, Mom!”
With her mother’s support confirmed, Nia instantly lit up, stepping forward to give her a tight hug and calling out the sweetest “Mom” of her life.
“I’ve made up my mind. So what do we do next?”
“Next, well…”
To prevent any outsiders from interrupting, mother and daughter took Roy directly to the embassy of the Verdant Council in Academy City.
The medical facilities at the Verdant Council were no less than those at the Academy of Magic, and Janthea, being someone of significance, didn’t have to worry about her intentions towards Roy.
What’s more, the Academy of Magic had no means to cure Roy, so it made sense to leave him in the hands of the Verdant Council.
Once inside the embassy, the door shut, and the windows closed, ensuring no one could disrupt Nia and Roy’s time alone.
The room in the embassy was quite stylish, adorned with unique elven forest carvings. The wooden walls held flower-shaped magical lamps woven from vines, casting a gentle, soft glow. In the center of the room was a hammock made from broad-leaved plants, enveloped by flowers and grass, making it feel like lying in a cool, soft summer night forest.
Roy, clad only in shorts, was quietly lying there.
The ethereal atmosphere caused Nia to momentarily lose herself.
But upon seeing the young man’s slightly furrowed brow and his weakly rising and falling chest, Nia quickly slapped her cheeks to force her thoughts back in line.
Saving him was the priority; now wasn’t the time for that!
That said, what she was about to do was quite a challenge for Nia.
Slowly, she approached Roy, took one last deep breath, and finally began her actions.
Her hands hooked onto the hem of her clothes, pulling upwards, her soft, white abdomen and full, soft curves no longer hidden. She kicked off her boots and unbuttoned her short skirt, revealing her shapely legs wrapped in white stockings, shining like youthful and seductive jade pillars.
At this point, Nia’s face was already flushed, and she fidgeted awkwardly, hardly able to lift her head.
That’s when she remembered a serious issue.
Mom said physical contact was enough, but just how far did that go? That definition is super broad!
With the generational gap and their differing personalities, plus a lack of communication, it was only natural she’d misunderstand.
Nia could never guess that her mom simply meant for her to hold hands and keep Roy company for the night—Janthea thought that was already quite stimulating; after all, that’s what she did back in her day, and she was too shy to even sleep.
But Nia’s imagination painted all sorts of unwholesome scenarios.
If it’s about physical contact, wouldn’t more be better?!
After pondering for a moment, Nia bit her silver teeth, made up her mind, and pushed her limits.
Before long, two delicate pieces of fabric drifted aside.
Feeling the coolness across her body, Nia’s ears were almost steaming with embarrassment.
In the dim light, her silky hair brushed against her as her flawless figure, like pristine jade, wobbled onto the bed, colliding with Roy’s form.
