Chapter 218
Chapter 71: Feeling a Little Excited?
Noticing the looks around him, Roy couldn’t help but be slightly taken aback.
He knew Nia appeared carefree, but deep down, she had the unique innocence of an elven girl.
She must be feeling troubled by being misunderstood as his girlfriend, right?
So he reluctantly took over the conversation from Nia and explained to Reid, “We’re not in that kind of relationship.”
“Are you sure?” Reid rubbed his chin with a doubtful expression.
“Absolutely and definitely not,” Roy met his gaze seriously.
Reid squinted, and then suddenly a knowing smile spread across his face. “I see.”
Good, glad he got it.
Roy let out a small sigh of relief and threw a glance at the girl, assuring her with his eyes that he had cleared things up.
As for Nia’s subtle pout, Roy naturally didn’t catch it.
On the other hand, Reid had his own thoughts.
After seeing how well Roy and Nia worked together, he subconsciously assumed they were a couple.
Now it seemed he was mistaken.
These two were clearly still in an ambiguous stage and hadn’t taken that step yet!
Tch, as a senior in life, he just had to give them a push—he wasn’t the only one thinking this.
Reid coughed awkwardly, squinted one eye, and smirked mischievously.
“By the way, it’s getting late; you guys should rest.”
“I’ve only prepared one tent for you. No complaints, right?”
Roy frowned immediately, about to voice his objection when Nia quickly replied, “No complaints!”
Roy tried to protest a little more, saying, “Wait, it’s not really appropriate for a man and a woman to share a tent…”
But Reid shot him a fierce glare and said, “Adventurers don’t distinguish between genders!”
“Exactly! It’s the only tent we have left!”
“Besides, the girl doesn’t mind; what’s a big guy being cowardly for?!”
“Since there are no complaints, hurry up and sleep! We need to hit the road early tomorrow!”
Somehow being rushed by a bunch of adventurers, Roy was left bewildered.
Why do these guys seem to have ulterior motives?
Alas, he couldn’t out shout ten voices, and pressed into accepting reality, following Nia to the campsite.
The adventurers’ tents were spread apart; theirs were placed in a relatively clean corner next to the ruins of an ancient castle.
Though referred to as ruins, the ceiling and walls had mostly collapsed, with a large patch of grass across from them and a bright night sky overhead, giving a sense of open-air travel.
Nia excitedly kicked off her boots and bent over to crawl into the tent.
Beneath her school uniform’s pleated skirt, her rounded, perky bottom and soft, fair legs swayed. She even wore footed tights, which made her feet look even more supple and delicate.
This sight was pretty tantalizing, forcing Roy to quickly look away.
Roy lit a campfire, choosing not to follow her into the tent but instead sitting on a fallen stone pillar.
Nia seemed a bit surprised. “Aren’t you coming in?”
Roy shook his head. “You sleep first; I’ll keep watch.”
“Hey, with Mr. Reid and the others watching, isn’t that unnecessary?”
“Not really! Don’t underestimate practical tests; better to stick to the rules during times like these.”
They had just been having a nice chat, and now they were being told to sleep; surely Reid and the others had some ulterior motive.
Perhaps this was some test of their alertness.
And with the threat of reverse fate nodes looming, Roy honestly wasn’t in the mood to sleep.
At this moment, in the tent, Nia propped her head on her hands, curled her legs, and struck a subtly alluring pose, patting beside her.
“Are you sure? It’s a rare chance to sleep with a beautiful girl, you know?”
“Who goes around calling themselves a beautiful girl? Just sleep already.” Roy bluntly pulled the tent flap shut.
“Hmph, how boring.” Nia pouted, then began to unbutton her school uniform.
In fact, Nia had never really liked such restrictive clothing—especially with her bust size, it felt constricting no matter how she wore it.
But as she stripped down to just her bra, she suddenly thought, Roy was outside; was it not polite to be too indulgent?
Yet she figured since they were separated by the tent and he couldn’t see, she easily undid her bra and tossed it aside.
Meanwhile, Roy was stunned.
Was this tent really that low quality?!
In the firelight, a graceful silhouette was clearly projected onto the tent.
With the sound of clothes rustling, he saw her quickly shed her top, casually toss her bra away, and even lift her leg to pull up her thigh-high stockings.
Beautiful legs, a slender waist, and a voluptuous chest—like a personal light show just for Roy, all hazily reflected in the serene night, seeming exceptionally seductive.
Missing the chance to call out a warning, Roy had no choice but to simply shut his mouth and pray this little show would end soon.
Seriously, this girl was so oblivious! Even if it was just a tent, he was still a man outside, yet she dared to undress so completely?!
It was only when the tent fell silent that Roy finally sighed with relief. Just then, a small head suddenly poked out of the tent, startling him.
“What, why are you coming out?!”
“I couldn’t sleep, so I thought I’d come chat for a bit.”
Nia’s long hair was loose, her bare shoulders visible, looking even sweeter than usual. Thankfully, her graceful figure was wrapped in a blanket, allowing Roy to look at her directly.
Noticing Roy’s awkward expression, Nia couldn’t help but giggle.
“Look at how scared you are; I’m still under the blanket!”
Roy smirked but didn’t speak.
“Blanket my foot!”
If he were to burst her bubble, she’d likely faint on the spot, so he decided to let her save face.
The dim light of the campfire penetrated the night, casting soft shadows on the ruins around them, countless stars twinkling like sparkling diamonds in the dark sky.
The girl lay in the tent, her eyes peering through the fabric, taking in the shadows cast by the fire and the tranquil beauty of the stars, looking at Roy.
“It’s rare to be out on an adventure; wouldn’t it be such a waste to just sleep through it?”
Under the gaze of her faintly smiling, shining green eyes, Roy found himself unable to voice the urge to hurry her along.
He could only let out a quiet sigh and say, “Do as you wish.”
“Just don’t stay up too late.”
“Yay~”
Nia leaned on the edge of the tent, curling her legs, swinging her delicate feet, smiling sweetly like a little girl who had just received candy.
“By the way, were you a bit excited just now?”
Roy remained expressionless. “What do you mean excited?”
“Like when Reid said we were boyfriend and girlfriend.”
Nia’s voice dropped to a whisper. “Honestly, I don’t really understand romance either. But if it was you…”
The evening breeze stirred softly, the campfire crackled quietly, and seeing the girl’s tone shift, Roy’s eyes widened a bit.
What does she mean by that?
Could it be, she really…
But just then, Nia changed her tone, covering her mouth and revealing a sly grin.
“So, are you feeling excited now?”
“……” Roy stiffened.
His fists clenched.
“Ouch!”
With a swift hand chop, Nia quickly covered her head and pouted.
“I was just joking…”
“Is there a possibility that when you’re bored, you could just sleep?”
“Okay, okay, I’m sorry.”
“If you really want to date, go ahead and do it, don’t mess around with nonsense.” Roy said, poking the fire with a stick, chastising her lightly.
Seeing the boy deliberately avert his gaze, Nia only smiled foolishly without saying a word.
