Chapter 126

In the empty factory building in front of the dormitory, a temporary presentation space was made for this orientation, just as I explained last time.

Currently, four people are seated in the presentation area.

On the far left is Daphne, followed by Levi, Granite, and Lucian. Two seats were vacant.

Irene was absent due to being busy with Helios issues. She will be informed separately.

Kalia hasn’t arrived yet.

While one of the Violets prepared for the presentation by reviewing various stacks of documents and materials, on the other side, worker Violets were setting up a whiteboard and installing a projector to prepare for the orientation.

“No way, are you seriously sleeping in a place like this?!”

Lucian’s gaze shifted to the Violets carrying blankets elsewhere. They were Violets who had just finished night shifts and were enjoying a nap.

“It’s spacious and comfy! Do you want to sleep here too?”

“What? No way… I’m good…”

He made a face of disgust. Rejecting such a spacious place, could he be suffering from agoraphobia?

“Uh, excuse me, Violet. Is it because of us? Do you have nowhere else to go?”

Levi, who was sitting, fidgeted as if he felt sorry. His sad eyes were directed at Violet Unit 2.

“Huh? Not really. It’s nice for dozens of us to live together. The dormitory building is just too cramped.”

“W-Well…”

I reassured Levi, who was suffering from unnecessary guilt.

Of course, it’s not an ideal building for living purposes, so it has some inconvenient aspects. But it’s a decent place for many to live. It’s spacious enough for various activities.

I do think about buying an apartment when I have some money.

A happiness village exclusively made for us Violets. A fortress built with plenty of rebar and concrete just for Violets.

“I just can’t get used to it, no matter how much I try. Collective Consciousness humans, seriously.”

Lucian clicked his tongue while watching the Violets passing by here and there. Ever since the last explanation, even after we told them about our Unique Abilities, they couldn’t easily accept it.

In fact, their gazes towards us felt like watching the line between humans and monsters.

“Let’s understand, even Irene took a while to accept it, right?”

“Well, we were surprised at first too.”

The only person who was intrigued rather than shocked or scared upon hearing about our abilities was Teacher Yurik.

His expression upon hearing about our Unique Abilities resembled that of a kid receiving the latest toy robot. Scholars’ curiosity is really unfathomable.

Even now, that guy approaches us, burning with passion to study us, filled with curiosity.

“You said you are 45, right? I made a survey for you all. Could you spare some time? I’d appreciate your cooperation! I’m curious about how sensory sharing works among Violet entities. The concept of the Violet Network is fascinating too. Consciousness sharing among Awakened Ones! Excuse me? Where are you going?”

“I don’t want to cooperate! Just go into your room and play a game!”

“Just five minutes, please!”

“Ugh! You’re being so annoying, aren’t you? I need to get you to work quickly.”

“Let’s just give him the data later and get it interpreted.”

The only way to suppress that overflowing curiosity is to divert his attention with another bait.

We plan to hand over the research data we stole or filmed from the laboratory for interpretation. Then we’ll be able to know specifically what they’re studying and what their goals are.

It’s time to force the postdoc researcher back into being a graduate student.

“That guy is a scientist. Can’t he make weapons or something?”

“That seems a bit unlikely.”

How bitter. In cartoons, they always capture scientists to make secret weapons. One day, we should raid a laboratory or something and kidnap some people to create a secret research facility.

I’d want Yurik as the administrator.

While I was lost in thought, the preparation for the presentation was finally complete. Now we just need one more person. Unit 1 was quietly standing onstage, waiting, when a message came.

“Unit 1, Kalia is coming soon.”

“Uh-huh, he took care of some work.”

After about ten minutes of waiting, Kalia walked into the factory.

“Did you wait long? I was a bit busy because of academy and Brotherhood matters.”

It turns out Kalia also took a leave of absence. Now that I think about it, everyone here is a group of students on leave.

“Uh-huh, don’t worry. It hasn’t been long since we finished preparing.”

As Kalia finally sat down, the presentation began.

“I’m going to explain what we’ll be doing from now on.”

I turned on the projector before the presentation.

A title appeared on the whiteboard set up as a screen: <Violet Group Activity Plan>.

“Violet Group?”

Granite, who had been silent, murmured. I responded.

“There was no special name for us, so I chose one.”

Outwardly, we referred to ourselves as the ‘Ariel Group,’ but we didn’t need to do that around those who know us.

In fact, there were several candidates for this name even before deciding.

“Let’s call ourselves the Violet Legion!”

“What about World Liberation Army?”

“Revolutionary Army!”

But all were rejected.

Expressions like ‘Violet Legion’ or ‘World Liberation Army’ sounded too much like terrorists, and ‘Revolutionary Army’ felt like it needed to wave some sort of red flag.

So, we opted for the simple name, Violet Group.

Returning to the main topic, I began to explain what lies ahead.

“As I mentioned in the last clarification meeting, I won’t force you to fight directly with the clan members. Instead, you will be doing something different.”

“What kind of work?”

When Lucian asked, rather than answer directly, I swiped through the presentation screen. Photos of various types of dungeons appeared.

“First, we need activity funds. Your job will be to help earn that funding.”

The dungeons in the pictures were diverse. A ruined city in darkness, vast caves, and snowy fields.

“All you need to do is stand still and take out the approaching enemies. We’ll handle gathering relics or resources ourselves.”

Daphne, who had been quietly listening, spoke up.

“It looks a bit difficult. Are you sure this will be okay?”

“Exactly! That’s why I can’t do it alone.”

The places we will be heading are quite tricky.

“Aren’t we going right away? Have the five of us here even practiced teamwork? I, for one, have never been to a dungeon with you.”

Kalia pointed out an important aspect: teamwork. I nodded in agreement.

“Yeah, so before starting the operation, I plan to conduct a training camp first.”

I manipulated the screen again.

With the subtitle <Akralight Ruins>, a desolate ravine appeared. The expressions of those seeing the ravine were filled with questions, while Daphne struggled to recall something while looking at the photo and text.

And then Lucian’s eyes widened.

“Hey, isn’t this where the Flying Dragon appears?”

“Correct!”

As expected, being smart, he figured it out quickly. Upon hearing the word Flying Dragon, Daphne finally had an “Aha!” reaction as if she remembered.

“Many mid-tier monsters appear, but it’s easier than you think. It’s not as hot as Chloris Forest and pretty comfortable.”

And there’s another important point I didn’t mention. I suddenly glanced to one side. I saw Levi diligently writing notes with a notebook in hand. Granite was also focusing on me, waiting to speak.

It’s fortunate for those two that the monsters in this dungeon looked fairly normal. There are hardly any crawling-type insects like Chrysalides in there.

Additionally, it’s a spacious area, making it a good environment for them to act. It would be good for matching hands and feet.

“But what if those grotesque ones appear later? You can’t just keep being considerate. Dungeon exploration is a life-or-death situation.”

Unit 2 pointed out in a serious tone. That’s true. The Violets, who had been quietly listening, nodded in agreement. Then Unit 12 offered a rather amusing idea.

“Don’t worry, we can use shock therapy!”

Upon hearing those words, the Violets agreed that it was a good idea.

Taking into account Unit 12’s argument, I should definitely take those siege weapon buddies to the Alkesia Forest. If I let them fight a cockroach monster as big as a bus, it might help a little with their insect phobias.

“I plan to spend a day or two honing teamwork here, and then go to the next dungeon to earn the funds.”

I then explained the dungeons we were about to enter. A massive department store city where mysterious relics are infinitely produced, a mine where rare metals pop out, and another snowy area with an Ether Emitter.

“When’s the schedule starting?”

When Kalia asked, I calculated the remaining time until the transaction with Armas. I also considered the internal situation of the academy. It’d be best to do it as soon as possible.

“In two days. Until then, everyone, take a good rest! We’re going to have to run non-stop.”

That also gives me the time I need to handle Irene’s matters and prepare supplies.

Only the final presentation remains. Before I turn to the last page of the prepared materials, I addressed the people gathered.

“By the way, does anyone have thoughts about transferring?”

“Transferring?”

I explained about the regulations I found regarding the academy city.

<…If a school ceases to function and closes for certain reasons, transfer approvals must be granted within the range of accepted candidates.>

“Do you see?”

This was a regulation I had found earlier. It’s the rule of the academy city that allows students from one school to be transferred to another if anything happens there.

“You can’t be serious, are you trying to commit terrorism for that?”

“Correct! And if we’re going to transfer, wouldn’t it be better to go to a good academy?”

“What kind of craziness is this…”

Lucian looked shocked, uttering sounds of disbelief as he stared at me. He couldn’t comprehend my grand plan. I really don’t get how he became a top student.

I turned the last page. The logo of Aegis Academy appeared.

“I’ve looked into it, and they say Aegis Academy is good! The seniors are friendly, and there are no strange injustices. But above all…”

I pointed to a beautiful blonde woman floating next to the Aegis Academy logo.

“Adelaide Clarissa Novena Cascadia…? Isn’t that the noble family, Cascadia?”

“Correct! They say she’s the Student Council President of Aegis Academy, and she’s pretty and kind!”

Kalia asked with a puzzled look.

“Are you judging solely by looks? The Student Council President of the academy you attended also looked somewhat handsome, yet he was the one killing students. What basis do you have for thinking that girl is kind?”

Hearing Kalia’s words made me feel a bit frustrated. To compare Adela, the five-star student, with that parasite of a brother was just too much!

Since I couldn’t talk about game settings, I brought up another reason.

“Well, I met her in person!”

I explained how I got her contact information.

“It’s surprising that she gives her contact information to someone she just met. But that alone can’t justify a transfer.”

“True. It’s just one connection.”

Transferring is something for a far future as well.

But I really want to. Especially because Adelaide was extremely kind to me.

After finishing the small explanations, I wrapped up the presentation.

“Alright, everyone take a good rest!”

Thinking of those heading out of the factory, I began to plan for the future.

A few days later, at the point when all preparations were complete.

Six students and the Violet Group headed towards the Akralight Ruins.

It’s time to catch a Flying Dragon.
