In an instant, a massive portal to subspace materialized before his eyes. The leader stepped inside, followed closely by the unseen watcher. Eventually, they emerged in a location dominated by colossal cliffs, and within a transparent underwater tunnel, the man walked forward.

Just then, as light scanned the man’s body, his vision suddenly clouded in crimson. He then collapsed to the ground with a thud, prompting the man to look down and groan with annoyance.

[The Black Sun] howled as he suddenly expelled hundreds of tentacles, conjuring a storm of chaos. The expansive nature of this attack seemed to obliterate all the Equalizers in a single swoop. It looked like the tides had turned! But then, [the Black Sun] soon returned to human form, groaning in pain.

Pushing past the hindrances from the Equalizers, they advanced further in. Upon reaching a large blue partition, an unexpected enemy awaited them.

A red beam shot forth from the giant Equalizer’s eye, striking the core of [the Black Sun]. A massive hole, a palm’s diameter, opened up in his torso. Just as [the Black Sun] aimed to heal himself rapidly with his outstanding recovery abilities, the giant Equalizer chirped with mechanical voices.

[Continuous firing.]

[Ugh… Aaaah!]

In rapid succession, dozens of red beams from the giant Equalizer’s Plasma Blaster tore through [the Black Sun] faster than he could recover. To make matters worse, with a jolt, the partition suddenly opened, revealing a multitude of turret barrels poised to fire.

No matter how powerful the defense system before her was, it couldn’t surpass the natural strength of the Celestial Mara. That’s precisely why she was the Celestial Mara. However, Sagong Lin’s strength was specialized against ‘chaos,’ while her opponent was thundering through chaos without a hint of it. Different styles yet perfectly mismatched, so she felt no need to expend her full strength here.

While musing, Sagong Lin was scanning the battlefield when she suddenly spotted a gap and summoned her powers.

Meanwhile, as the giant Equalizer engaged [the Black Sun], she rapidly made her way past the partition. The partition turned out to be much thicker and more robust than she anticipated. She could tell she’d passed through at least a hundred layers, yet she couldn’t progress beyond this partition. It was evident that the technology needed to create walls of such scale was well beyond humanity’s capabilities.

After a while, she finally crossed to the side of the partition. When she reappeared, she noticed her location was entirely different from where Baek Woong had arrived previously. Instead of that, she found herself in a dark underground, in the ruins of an ancient edifice.

‘The place Baek Woong visited was filled with advanced technology. But this place resembles an ancient ruin from an ancient age… What’s going on?’

Walking amidst the crumbled remains, Sagong Lin soon had a realization.

“This is a completely different place.”

She grasped the truth.

This was a location where dimensions overlapped!

In that earlier location, if she didn’t go by the predetermined method, she would only end up wandering amidst the ruined relics of the ancient continent. What the Master of the Twelve Joules described as ‘overlaid’ was precisely that.
