Chapter 543

Chapter 174: Eat What You Need

Facing a Pseudo-God level elemental entity, even the Snow Wing couldn’t simply rely on collisions and protective light to take it down. While she could eliminate these relatively low-intelligence elemental creatures in just a few rounds at level 90, it would inevitably require her to stop and waste quite a bit of time fighting.

Moreover, enemies at the Pseudo-God level typically have grasped or dabbled in certain laws, posing a threat far greater than those of levels six or seven. A careless injury could be quite costly.

So, Vilyric chose to establish a 【Cooperative Contract】 with Snow Wing, significantly enhancing her overall attributes while also summoning the 【Avatar of Light】. This transformed her into a towering figure several dozen meters high, riding on the back of the high-speed flying bird, battling together.

The reason for choosing to strengthen and confront rather than evade was partly due to the involvement of the 【laws】, making pure speed insufficient to avoid all attacks… On the other hand, there were certainly many benefits from this approach.

In the center of the colorful storm resembling swirling clouds, another giant crimson fire elemental materialized, towering at several dozen meters, not inferior to Snow Wing. It opened its enormous mouth formed of flames, unleashing a thunderous roar laced with spewing fire!

“Roar!!!”

Snow Wing, striding boldly on the path ahead, fearlessly flapped her snowy white wings and charged directly at it. The streamlined golden light almost turned her into a sharp cone, colliding head-on with the ultra-high-temperature fireball erupting from the elemental’s chest, which could practically melt gold and burn jade!

But just then, a massive flame axe suddenly descended from the storm, heading straight for the defenseless back of the white bird. It turned out another Pseudo-God-level fire elemental had laid in ambush among the clouds, while the first was merely trying to provoke.

However, the golden girl knight riding on the back of the white bird merely sneered, casually twirling the holy spear in her hand to shatter the blazing flame axe effortlessly. With a swift thrust, the sharp golden light cut through the flame elemental hiding in the clouds along with the magical storm, reducing them both to mere halves.

Indeed, Pseudo-God level elementals are remarkable. Even when severed, it howled furiously, attempting to reassemble its burning body, with surging flames erratically spraying outwards, forming a nearly inhospitable zone for living beings!

Yet the Radiant Girl remained unfazed. After delivering that strike, she instantly hurled her holy spear, which transformed into a golden shooting star, piercing through all the dying struggles of the flame elemental, creating a terrifying void measuring over ten meters in diameter right in its chest. The tail flame even carved a long vacuum path through the elemental storm, stretching into the distance.

“Boom!!!”

With such severe damage, the fire elemental could no longer hold on, erupting violently in the air, unleashing a terrifying roar and waves of destruction akin to a supernova explosion. Meanwhile, the golden cone made from the white bird also shattered another fire elemental’s full-force counterattack as both figures passed through each other mid-air.

“Boom!!!”

Yet another explosive sound echoed out. In just a short span, the pair of Pseudo-God level fire elementals were completely annihilated.

“Hehe, great job! Our coordination is getting better and better, Snow Wing ~”

“Tweet ~ Tweet ~”

Petting the fluffy head of the white bird while controlling the Avatar of Light, the bird enjoyed it, swaying its head while squinting its eyes, casually swallowing a meter-long, fire-red crystal it had just picked up in its beak.

Vilyric waved her hand, and a golden light enveloped another crystal of a similar shape, radiating terrible heat and high temperature, landing in her palm before she leaned down to hand it to the Snow Wing beneath her.

“Here, eat this one too—don’t waste it.”

The divine bird naturally didn’t hesitate to swallow the second crystal in one go.

This was the reason Vilyric was willing to take some time to deal with those Pseudo-God level large elementals. Honestly, for some reason, these elemental creatures in the Illusion Realm, both in appearance and ability, reminded the Priestess of certain enemies in the 【Illusory World】, with many techniques feeling very familiar.

However, compared to the game, the elementals here were undeniably more real and didn’t drop any equipment or materials. If there was anything valuable left upon their death, it would probably be these crystal-like items.

These were the cores of the elementals, typically found only within enemies at least of the Pseudo-God level. Vilyric had identified them, and for instance, this one was named 【Core of the Flame Destroyer】. Along the way, they had encountered something akin to Wind Destroyer, Frost Destroyer, Shadow Destroyer, and so on.

Simply differing in attributes.

It seemed that the 【Core of the Flame Lord】 they had found in the laboratory beneath the Spring of the Puppeteer Forest was likely another trophy obtained by their “Father” through similar means. However, a Lord is yet another tier above the large elementals in the game, and Vilyric had not yet encountered any enemies that could be called Lords; she didn’t even know what level of strength they possessed here.

Furthermore, even though these cores varied in attributes and their energy was intensely chaotic, Snow Wing seemed able to easily swallow them, turning them into her own nutrients. Through the thoughts transmitted via the contract, Vilyric realized that this would actually be quite beneficial for her.

Since that was the case, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to treat her obedient and sensible pet to some snacks.

As Snow Wing floated in the air, munching on two crystal pieces roughly the size of an adult, Vilyric looked down, surveying her surroundings, deep in thought.

“Hmm… It seems we’ve already arrived at the domain of the fire elements; we should be getting close to the entrance Tiyelu mentioned…”

While there was no concept of day and night here, and beings of the divine race didn’t require frequent rest, the Priestess could still gauge that she had been in the Illusion Realm for a little over a day based on the changes on her panel.

According to Tiyelu, the Illusion Realm was divided into several regions based on elemental distributions. For example, the sacred grounds she guarded and their surroundings belonged to a stable area with relatively balanced elements, where exceptionally powerful elementals rarely appeared.

Outwards, there existed regions such as the Wind Domain, Frost Domain, Dark Domain, and Desolate Domain, along with the fire elemental domain where Vilyric currently was, resembling the composition of several dragon species.

However, curiously, the Illusion Realm seemed to lack a Light Domain and light elements.

This was clear; the colors of the magical storms in the skies of each region were different. Tiyelu’s side had a mix of colors, while the fire elemental domain was a furious crimson.

Along the way, the Priestess had passed through the freezing blue Frost Domain and the pitch-black Dark Domain. The Wind Domain and Desolate Domain were in other directions, but she could faintly see them in the distance.

While it was hard to comprehend, it didn’t hinder Vilyric from getting down to business.

Time to go take a look.
