Chapter 1134

Chapter 241: The Genesis Creation Theory

Now, let’s rewind time a bit, back to when the Priestess was still fiercely battling the Taotie.

Outside the Mirror Valley, in the outpost towards the Princess Ling’s kingdom.

The Silver-haired Girl stood alone, her gaze still as indifferent as ever, but around her lay the bodies of over a dozen figures, their varied attires sprawled haphazardly.

All of them were dead, their vital spots cleaved by the light of a silver blade, devoid of any life.

“Cough cough cough… This is quite surprising.”

A young man with white hair and skin as delicate as a baby’s half-kneeled on the ground, pools of uncontrollable blood spilling from his mouth, a mix of astonishment and contemplation in his eyes as he stared at the breathtaking girl who easily annihilated all her foes, even wounding him severely, displaying a blank expression.

“You’re not the Spirit Girl, who are you?”

Hen turned around, her beautiful eyes twinkling with silver like they bore no emotion, merely casting a detached glance at the Pharmacist, as if she were a lofty deity looking down on ants, answering without addressing the question.

“It seems you’ve failed again this time.”

“Cough cough…”

Despite suffering quite a fatal injury, with his white robe soaked in blood, the Pharmacist appeared unfazed, slowly rising while smiling.

“Have you ever wondered why I’m the only one here?”

“Boom!!!”

As soon as he finished speaking, an extraordinarily violent explosion thundered from deeper within the Mirror Valley, shaking the very ground beneath them.

The girl remained unperturbed, glancing at the mushroom cloud of dust that began rising in the distance, seemingly lost in thought.

After a moment, she turned her gaze back to the Undying Elixir Saint, who was pulling some sort of medicine from his pocket, and spoke calmly.

“Since your goal is to stall for time, how about I tell you a story?”

The young man, originally about to consume the unknown substance in the porcelain bottle, paused slightly, then seemed to understand something, temporarily setting the medicine aside and breaking into a chuckle.

“Ah, truly worthy of the Princess Ling, who has caused us repeated defeats. Even as things unfold to this point, it seems you still have it under control, heh… No matter, I’m all ears.”

“……”

Not sure if it was directed towards him or merely to herself, the girl hung her dagger back at her waist, looking up with her hands behind her back at the brilliant silver beam shooting up from the center of the Mirror Valley.

“Long, long ago, when the world was still in chaos, nothing had meaning. There was no flow of time, no change of space, no living beings, no will, no anything—just absolute void, absolute emptiness.”

“Until the appearance of a beam of light.”

“It brought change, letting time finally flow, and filling the void with space, but this world remained empty and meaningless.”

“Thus, that beam of light began to split.”

“On the first day, it created the sun and the moon, giving them light of different meanings, marking the cycles of day and night.”

“On the second day, it raised the heavens, expanding the dimensions of space, and thus the world began to hear the sounds of the wind, with temperature and energy changes filling space with substance, no longer dull and empty.”

“On the third day, it brought forth the earth, constructing a firm foundation for the world, causing mountains to surge, rivers to rush, giving birth to the concept of ‘matter.'”

“On the fourth day, it adorned the stars, composing them across the sky, forming various patterns called ‘laws,’ and the purest of energies split into different elements, birthing infinite possibilities.”

“On the fifth day, through its boundless imagination, it created various beings called ‘life’ within this already outlined world, endowing them with bodies and instincts to maintain their existence.”

At this point, the Silver-haired Girl turned her head to glance at the elderly man thoughtfully listening, continuing her tale.

“Creation was supposed to end here, but it felt the world was still incomplete, as if something was missing.”

“It pondered for a long while and suddenly came to a realization.”

“Thus, on the sixth day, it further split the foundations of the world, creating the ethereal ‘soul,’ measuring the lifespan of life, and establishing the cycle of birth and death, at which point, the world finally became complete and cyclical.”

“But on the seventh day, it deemed that allowing the world to evolve illogically was not right, so, mirroring its own situation, it created the rulers of the world.”

“Some were tasked with controlling the division of day and night, some adjusted the flow of time and space, while others wandered the skies or guarded the earth.”

“But more became the spirits of the ‘laws’ among the stars, maintaining the operation of the world. These rulers inherited a part of its power, equivalent to the concept itself, thus possessed privileges and strength far surpassing ordinary beings, even exempt from the cycle of life and death set by it.”

“Thus, they were revered as ‘gods’ by the beings who looked up to them for existence, and that single beam of light which vanished after creating the world was honored as the ‘Light of Creation,’ the ‘Light of Genesis.'”

Seeing that the Silver-haired Girl had finished her tale and remained silent for a long time, the Pharmacist finally spoke with a smile.

“An interesting story about the Genesis creation theory. I’ve also heard some parts of it, though not as detailed as you understand.”

“Supposedly, the world it created is called the ‘Primordial Land,’ the original starting point from which all worlds stem. The truth of this is debatable, but why did Miss Hen suddenly share this with me?”

“The reason, huh…”

Once more glancing at him, the girl’s deep yet mirror-like silver eyes seemed to reflect countless glimpses and pasts, her expression still indifferent.

“For the past three hundred years, Pharmacist, you’ve pursued the path to that realm, and while your methods are extreme and scorned by others, regarding your ‘obsession,’ it’s the most intense and pure among all Seven Day Demon Lords and beings of this world. That’s why you can assimilate others continually, perpetuating the will of the already deceased ‘you.'”

“Neither good nor evil, but purely purpose-driven; in that respect, you share a striking resemblance to the ‘divine.'”

“Thus, I acknowledge your will as a seeker of the path.”

“…What do you mean?”

With a slight furrow of his brows, the Pharmacist quickly laughed.

“Miss Hen wouldn’t mean to say that I’m doing the right thing, that great people don’t sweat the small stuff; it’s just how it should be? Then I really need to see you in a new light.”

Hen turned away, her gaze no longer on him but looking towards the gradually darkening sky.

“To me, the life and death of mere things hold no meaning. Today, I share this with you merely as an unnecessary reminder before the purity of it all.”

“I won’t hinder you further; just continue forward, and you’ll grasp a glimpse of that dreamt-of power, but the price…”

Amidst the gaze of the white-haired youth, who seemed to have lost his smile unnoticed, the girl’s indifferent proclamation echoed quietly.

“Is genuine death.”
